Morning of 24th June 08 Tues, Qiu's family and I had to wake up at 0300 to send her to the airport for her marathon 24hr flight at 6am, to USA. Her Northwest Airline experience would take her to Tokyo (Narita), then Detroit and finally to Madison, Wisconsin. All these to attend the 5 day Zebrafish Conference (whatever that is) at Madison. Sometimes you can never fathom where these research people's passion comes from. All for a better tomorrow.
Nonetheless, it was with great relief that she connected with her mum and me via Skype upon her arrival, and her place was 13hrs behind Spore. Nothing much to update, if you discount the stabbing that just took place across her hotel and the sucky food on board the plane, and the stereotypical americans chomping on thier fast food of fish and chips. Well, just so American.
Oops I forgot to ask if anyone died or if the criminal got away. But I did remind her safety 1st!
After sending her at the airport, I went for a shooting spree.

Warm-up Shots
- 1 Guess which MRT station this is? Well with a spectacular 'spine' across the top, it had to be the Changi Airport MRT Station, welcoming tourists for the 1st train that leaves at 0531.
- 2 The futuristic travellator at the MRT, souless yet slick at 0520.
Sunrise, Changi Point
- 3 & 4 The Changi Point Ferry Terminal's moments of calm before another hectic day sets in.
- 5 A plane flys into Changi Airport amid the unspectacular sunrise.
- 6 A man walks away, perhaps just as disappointed as me at the sun's shyness today.
Scenes, Terminal 3
- 7 The water fountain at Basement 2.
- 8 Coaches ahead.
- 9 These travellers look like they were leaning against this huge wall.
- 10 The air is weightless at this unused baggage counter.
Patterns, Terminal 3
- 11 Rows and rows of unused counters at the far end of T3.
- 12 & 13 Immaculate orderliness of the trolleys at the belt area - unbelievable.
Patterns, Terminal 2

- 15 Even the man-made waterfall is so nice here near the MRT station!
Patterns, Terminal 1
- 16 Passing by each other without noticing - this top view screws the perspective of this common scene at the airport
- 17 & 18 That timeless flight information board shows departures to a host of asian cities.
