Fried herring and Chokladfabriken... Food galore along Sodermalm...
We went on a food hunt along Sodermalm by following the Lonely planet food guide a few weeks ago. We tried the fried herring from Nystekt Stromming and also the fabulous choklad from Chokladfabriken...

The famous fried herring is located in this humble little store right under the Katerina lift (Katerinahissen) and Gondolen restaurant. We ordered the set meal for 65 SEK. Simply DELICIOUS! I will ask for the lingoberry sauce in replacement for the onions next time... Simply take the T-bana to Slussen and it is situated just outside the metro station...

Saw this Korean restaurant selling Bibimbab! According to the Sweden Encounter guidebook, this restaurant is open by a Korean lady who used to be korean star... haha, RJ and I patronize this someday...hee... and it has a very cute website here: http://bibimbab.se/
What I like about the cafes and restaurants here is that most of them have their menus available online, so you can checkout the prices before you drop by..... very convenient especially when you need to translate some of the items on the menu from swedish to english using the google translator.....

And finally the Chokladfabriken ( http://www.chokladfabriken.com/english/ )
When it comes to chocolate ( choklad ) and desserts, I am always a happy gal! Hee... The brownies here are a must-try, you will simply be spoilt for choice when you look at the myriad of pretty chocolates on display! We had the milk hot chocolate with marshmallow ( 35 SEK) and choklad brownie (32 SEK ). Love the ambience there and I am going back for a cup of hot dark choklad during winter!
