Shopping at NK and Hamngatan area, a Ladybird's 10 minute trek & pizza dinner, 10 Aug Sun

It was the 1st weekend after our bank accounts was finallie set-up after 4 trips to the bank and waiting for 2 weeks. What to do - as a foreigner in a new land - you got to try to understand why these people take summer holidays and do things so inefficiently the way they do. Maybe I will understand when I have experienced the harsh winter myself.

So, we could at last shop a bit at the main shopping streets.. the famous-locally NK building (their department store) and the Hamngatan underground shops.. gotta admit their underground networks is really so extensive (its link from T-bana is so similar to the way Spore's CityLink Mall is linked to City Hall MRT).

Some shots of the fabulously packed lunch prepared by LQ - mixed meat patty sandwich which she marinated herself from minced meat, using her fave Worchestershire sauce! and Hasselback Potatoes (some kind of baked potatoes).. Having our own oven is handy in this sense... and also her shopping spree.. bikinis (dunno for what in this cold weather), necklace for Qiu-mum & cheap jeans at SGD 11.50 each! Also had dinner at Professorn.. a reasonable Pizza joint at the place we stay at...many students take-away pizzas when they dun have the time to cook..

While changing buses at Odenplan for the bus 40 back to Lappkärrsberget (where we stay), saw this cute little swedish ladybird on its walk around town... its back was like hand-painted with black dots and looked artificial somehow.. it was crawling along the sides of the fountain walls and rummaging through the leaf litter for shelter or food.. reminded me of Pri Sch science - insects and their habitats...
