Updates!!!

Sorry for being MIA for the past few weeks, I have been inundated with Karolinska course work and lab research experiments...... Have been working more than 12 hours a day and even burnt my weekends...very tried... Thanks RJ for being so understanding and waiting patiently for me to come home for late dinners with him.... there was once when we even had dinner at 11pm.... so now that the first phase of my experiments are over, I finally have some precious time to update our blog, sorry to keep you all waiting!!! Here you go....

I had a fulfilling first Karolinska animal course work for 2 weeks and I got the great opportunity to work with wonderful group mates - Lena, Max, Oscar, Yan Jin and Christophoros... And all of us passed the exams!!! Yippeeeee!!!

LAS Course Autumn 2008 - Group 12

30th August 2008 - An event organised by the Sweden Singapore Club to celebrate the Singapore National Day and Crayfish festival - East meet West
Thanks to the wonderful organisers! We managed to devour glutinous black rice desert, traditional fried bee hoon and crayfish!

1st October 2008 - City Hall Dinner - An invitation by the Stockholm County Council to newly arrived guest researchers from the Karolinska Institutet... One of the best buffet spread I ever had... Loved the chicken and salmon!!!

3rd October 2008 - Kanebullar Day aka Cinnamon roll day - Precious weekend spent celebrating kanebullar day at our fav Saturnus cafe along St. Eriksbergatan... Their creamy cafe au lait (32 kr) and humongous kanebullar (40 kr) is a must have! Remember to go early or the cinnamon buns will be sold out!

Autumn is here and the leaves are turning red...!
